Most people forget about the roofing components. Just like anything else the roof requires maintenance. Checking the age of the roof, roof coverings, possible leaks, flashings, soffits and fascia will help keep your roof in good condition.
When inspecting the structure and foundation of a home it's important to look for proper grading, settlement cracks, adequate bracing, damaged framing and supports.

Knowing where the main water shut-off valve is located around the home is necessary in case of an emergency or repairs. Remember to check for leaks under fixture cabinets, around fittings and plumbing appliances.
The HVAC (A/C) system should be inspected annually. Often times the system can appear to be functioning however not functioning properly. A delta-T (A/C splits) test can help determine this.
